Beginning with the first race of the Fall/Winter Sunday Season we will run a World Formula Masters Class, over 40 yrs. old and 400#. The class will run with the current WF Med. class ( 365#). The class is currently split about 50/50 between the age/weight groups. If you are over 40 and wish to race the WF Med. class you are welcome to do so. All WF's will qualify together and line up accordingly, only change is that the two classes will be scored separately. There are new racers coming in both classes and I expect this change to add to the fun inherent in this class. Participation is key to continued success!!
When registering to race be sure to specify WF or WF Masters, it would be good to tell the pre-tech inspectors also. Just to reiterate, WF Med., 16 and older,365#, WF Masters, over 40 and 400#. Let's race!!!!

Marvelous news, I am on the plus side of 40 and of the 365 weight limit. Masters it will be, hopefully on board for the Nov 2 race.

WOW I can start eating french fries and put the starter back on my motor.

Actually I think I will continue to skip the french fries, but the starter is going back on.

what a great day it is when WF has grown so large that the class needs to be split up.

Doesn't need to but I believe this will open the door to many more racers.

Great News! I bought a chassis a year ago to go W.F. racing, and I've spent the year since trying to drop 30-40lbs so I'd be close to the class weight limit. Almost there, but now I can buy my engine and go, and I'll have to ADD some weight to the kart! Thanks to all who made this happen, see ya soon.

OOPS!! I edited the original post, the proper weight for Masters is now 400# according to the IKF rulebook.

Wow at 400 lb minimum I may even be able to run electric start. Nice.
