Pure Karting contested two classes, and grabbed podiums in each class today to open the 2012 IKF R7 Series. Congrats to Jace Jones for his run to 2nd, and Jackson Logsdon for pushing hard to rebound from a rough 2nd heat. The team is looking forward to tomorrow, and the addition of Rookie Comer. Anthony Willis was looking strong in the Comer class on Friday, so lookout for him as he tries to set the pace in this new transition category.

Hi Bill,

PKRA drivers grabbed podiums both days.
Kid Kart - P2 - Jace Jones
KPV1 - P4 - Jackson Logsdon
Rookie Comer - P4 - Anthony Willis
Rookie Comer - P5 - Jagger Jones

Anthony and Jagger ran 1-2 for the entire length of the final in Rookie Comer, and then got tangled together in a last lap position change for the race win. From my view, they would have still finished 1-2, but the driver in 3rd "helped" out a little too much from behind and pushed Jagger further into Anthony. It was a crazy finish, and all 4 karts in the front pack tied together and couldn't finish. Pure Karting was lucky enough to still grab podiums since they had lapped some other drivers on track.

Photos from the weekend can be found on our Facebook page -> http://www.facebook.com/purekarting

Also, Mathew England drove a great race to finish 2nd in KPV2 on Sunday. Congrats to him.

Cliff, thanks for the update. MyLaps sure does not give us all the great detail. Great job by all the drivers. Looks like a good start to the Region 7 action. Good job Stewart, it is not easy to get things going again. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to see you all a the next PKRA club race.

Stew did do a great job, as well as the SoCal club staff. Stew was running around like his crazy self to make sure everyone was happy, and I think for the most part everyone was. The next event will only get better as I'm sure Stew will learn from this event, and proactively respond. Luckily, PKRA has only one overlap this season, so any PKRA racers looking to branch out and build on their skills should seriously consider attending the next IKF at Willow Springs.
